A PlayStation 2 RPG from a lesser-known franchise has turned 22 years old. Find out which one it is!
The PlayStation 2 , like its predecessor, was known for having excellent RPGs , both from well-known franchises and others that were still finding their place. And one of the games in this incredible genre, but one that has been forgotten by many, has just celebrated its anniversary.
Excellent PlayStation 2 RPG celebrates its anniversary.
Released on February 19, 2004, exclusively for PlayStation 2, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, also known as Shadow Hearts 2, celebrated its 22nd anniversary this week.
The game is a traditional JRPG, but it stood out at the time for some unique features. The main one is its combat system, which is turn-based, but requires the player to time a pointer within a circle to be more effective.

Unlike other games of the same genre at the time, Shadow Hearts Covenant also stood out by featuring settings inspired by real cities. However, instead of faithfully portraying them, the game presents them with a darker and more distorted atmosphere, quite different from how they are known today.
Hey reader! Any good memories of this awesome JRPG? Were you already familiar with Shadow Hearts: Covenant? Share your thoughts in the comments!
